One of my favorite things to do is visit various "forgotten" places of historical signifigance. This includes burial grounds, ruins, and the many scattered old farm houses that dot the landscape of this very new version of England. If one takes the time to look at the landscape one would definately see many similarities to the homeland where many of our anestors came from. Our history can hardly be called "ancient" compared to the many centuries spanning that of other older countries, but it is very interesting to look at our own and see how our ancestors hung on to what they knew and very closely recreated what they had. New England really is "New England."
