Hmmm, I always feel awkward writing on these things, but it seems that people always end up asking to know more about me anyways, so I figured I'd save them some time, so here goes...

Here's a self portrait I managed to snap one day while bored, lol.

I'm a 26 year old living in my home state of Connecticut. I've always had an affinity for Nature and feel most at home when being surrounded in it, whether it be staring at the moon or feeling the pure overwhelming awe of walking in a misty forest. I've also been gifted with the "eye" for art and general design (thanks mom!). I love building things and seeing them built, both my own pieces and the works of others. I guess it only comes naturally to want to put those two concepts together and make art with Nature in the form of photography, though I've only discovered this recently. I've really only been actively shooting for a couple years now.

Okay, so that's why I'm into photography, but what about the other stuff? Well, since I love Nature and everything that goes with it, I also have a love for animals. In short, I have a miniature zoo. I raise a number of exotic tropical fish as well as a few Reptiles including a female Green Iguana. I also have four cats, a Rat, and a Sugar Glider. You will meet these companions on this site. Speaking of websites, I also run a number of others and partner in a pet discussion forum (Aquatic Predators) as well as a few small business contracts. Whew! That's a lot of work, as I designed all the sites pretty much on my own along with a couple others that were contracted to me. Custom graphics and web design are some things that I enjoy doing to compliment my photography endeavor.

Now that you've become more familiar with what I do, I'm sure you're interested in more about me. As far as music goes, I like it loud and generally quite angry. I have a love for all types of rock, whether it be classic, gothic, 70's, hair bands, and modern. Some of my favorite groups include Sevendust, Lacuna Coil, Serenia, Within Temptation, Darkseed, Evanescence, Mudvayne, Alice Cooper, Drowning Pool, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, old school Metallica, Motley Crue, U2, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, the Eagles, etc. I also have a guilty pleasure of listening to some ambient, ethereal, New Age, and female vocalists like Enya, Sarah McLachlan, Amethystium, and Conjure One. Delerium and Loreena McKennitt are also favorites.

Personalitywise, I've been accused quite a few times of acting like a guy. I guess it makes sense because I was always considered "one of the guys" when growing up. Most of my friends have been guys and women generally hate me, though I don't know why because being "one of the guys" is definately not an advantage at dating! I usually had immense crushes that went unnoticed because we were too busy shooting hoops, getting dirty, and talking about cars. I think I must get that from my mother because she was always into muscle cars and it definately rubbed off onto me. I like American muscle and I can't help it! I love fast and loud cars and trucks. Right now I drive a '96 Ford Explorer XLT and I love it. I think I'll be getting another one next time around because it has treated me well over the past couple years. I also love motorcycles, choppers especially. I remember growing up riding on the back of my dad's bike and I really enjoyed it. I'll definately be getting one of my own someday.

My Exlporer

As for other stuff, I greatly enjoy reading authors like Anne McCaffrey, Robert Jordan, and Tolkien. Marion Zimmer Bradley is also a favorite author. The Mists of Avalon is probably my favorite book next to Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. I also love reading theological studies and exploring Celtic mythology and culture. Alternative and ancient religions fascinate me. Drawing is another of my strongsuits. I can't do people though, just animals, particularly horses and dragons.

Here are a couple of my sketches. Above is an unfinished piece of a Freisian stallion and below is a contracted piece of an Asian Arowana.

Well, that's about it. I'll be periodically updating this page so keep checking back! I leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
